First life-size Freedom Gundam statue to be unveiled outside of Japan in 2021


Life-size Gundam statues in Japan have been nothing but a success since its debut in its home country. It is so successful that two versions or models of Gundam robots have been launched and are still on display in the Japanese country, in fact there is an upcoming one to be unveiled soon and it is a moving one compared to the previous models. 

Today, as announced by Bandai Namco Shanghai, a brand new and exciting news surrounding these full-scale giant Gundam statues has just flooded the world of Gundam on the internet. A new life-size statue will be built and unveiled in 2021 and this time around it is not going to be somewhere in Japan but in China making it the very first Gundam statue to be built outside of Japan. 

It is going to be a Freedom Gundam model that will be built and made available for public viewing in Shanghai, China next year. The exact mobile suit unit will be a ZGMF-Z10A Freedom Gundam which is from the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. This will be an 18-meter (59ft) tall but it is still unclear if it's going to be a moving one or not.
