Japan Sinks: 2020 anime series now streaming on Netflix

Japan Sinks: 2020 anime series directed by Masaaki Yuasa is now finally available for streaming on Netflix.

Its first trailer, as seen above, was launched just last month and now the film is finally here. This one is based on the best selling disaster novel of the same name published in 1973 where it follows the story of a family that's trying to reunite in the middle of a devastating earthquake that hit a modern-day Japan.

The novel this anime series is based on was written by Sakyo Komatsu and released in 1973. Though this is the first time it was adapted into an anime format, it has been translated into other adaptations in the past decades which includes a TV show.

Japan Sinks: 2020 season 1 contains 10 episodes with around 25 minutes runtime for each.
