Ready Player One book sequel is coming this November

Ready Player Two book

Hey fellow Ready Player One fans, the book's most and long-anticipated sequel is finally coming to store shelves later this year - November 24, to be exact. Announced by the author itself, Ernest Cline, the book sequel will be officially called, you guessed it, Ready Player Two.

The first installment, Ready Player One, was released in 2011 and quickly became one of the best selling books on New York Times bestsellers list and stayed their for more than 100 weeks. It's so popular it even had a movie adaptation of the same name in 2018 directed by Steven Spielberg, which as what we can recall was a huge success as well.

Ernest Cline revealed that he has been working on the sequel for years now and clarified that it is a sequel to the book he released almost a decade ago rather than a sequel to the 2018 movie version.

Unfortunately, no additional details about Ready Player Two has been revealed such as the synopsis or anything. That said, we will have to wait until later this year if we are still going to meet again our beloved characters of the first installment namely Parzival, Art3mis, Aech and others.

The Ready Player One movie is now actually available on Netflix, in case you missed it.

And also, if the book is getting a sequel, does this mean the movie too? I hope so.
